Super Science Saturday is back in person for the first time since 2019. With the theme “Return of the Science,” this educational experience will showcase hands-on science activities and demonstrations that explore our amazing planet and are inspired by “the force.” Attire from a galaxy far far away or your science-inspired Halloween costumes are welcome at this community science celebration.
Featured activities include NCAR Wizards — researchers dressed like wizards who talk about Earth science — hands-on demonstrations, performances by science and nature musicians Jeff and Paige, face painting, and more. There will also be a weather balloon launch and learning opportunities with the Doppler on Wheels radar truck and the Mobile Earth + Space Observatory.
Historically, the popularity of Super Science Saturday necessitated temporarily pausing admittance of vehicles onto campus when the parking lot reached capacity. In the event that this happens, cars will be allowed in on a one-car-in, one-car-out basis. Please plan accordingly.
