Ryan Polk began working on construction sites at 17. Before Ryan attended law school, he worked in multiple capacities for a major national homebuilder, including in the operations, safety, and warranty departments. Following his graduation from the University of Wyoming College of Law, Ryan joined one of Denver’s oldest and most respected law firms, where his practice ranged from real estate transactions and litigation, to professional liability defense, family law, and complex commercial litigation. Knowing his heart was in construction, Ryan joined the construction focused firm of McConaughy & Sarkissian, where he represented every level of the construction process, with every aspect of the construction life cycle. In 2013, Ryan joined RK Mechanical, Inc. as General Counsel, where he has been a strategic contributor to the company’s outstanding growth. RK is the Intermountain West’s largest specialty trade contractor. With almost 2,000 employees, RK performs mechanical, electrical, and steel construction and fabrication for a variety of industries and projects. In his current position, Ryan oversees all aspects of RK’s legal portfolio, including insurance, contracting, claims, litigation, and employment law matters, and manages the RK Legal Department, including its budget and strategic planning.
