DESCRIPTION:Approximately 150 artists will be in Downtown Loveland creating remarkable chalk art for Pastels on 5th Street! Now in its fourteenth year\, Pastels on 5th Street is one of Northern Colorado’s most highly anticipated and well-loved events. The free\, family-friendly festival brings together artists\, businesses\, and vendors to transform Downtown Loveland into a spectacular sidewalk art gallery. Most importantly\, Pastels on 5th Street serves as a fundraising event for Alternatives to Violence. This year’s festival is scheduled for Saturday\, September 14 from 10 am-5 pm on 5th Street\, between Cleveland and Lincoln Avenues in Loveland. \nWhat’s Happening? \nChalk Art: Pastels on 5th showcases sidewalk chalk art created by approximately 150 artists. Artists spend hours transforming a sidewalk square into a work of art. Attendees are encouraged to visit the event at different times throughout the day to watch how the chalk art comes to life. \nLive Music: The event will feature performances by local favorites. \nThe Marketplace: The Marketplace section is made up of artisan goods and food vendors. \nKids’ Art Area: Children can enjoy creating their own works of art on the sidewalk with provided pastels. \nRaffle: \nJuried Competition: Judges will select their favorite works of art. Prizes are given to first\, second and third place winners\, plus a Young Artist award. DESCRIPTION:Come Swing4Vets and help end Veteran Suicide \nIt is our pleasure to invite you to join us on Friday\, August 9th for a day of golfing\, lunch and fun to\nbenefit the Healing Warriors Program. The tournament will be held at Mariana Butte Golf Course located at 701 Clubhouse Dr.\, Loveland\, CO 80537. Spots will fill quickly so don’t miss out!\nThe scramble style tournament will begin at 7:30 AM and will be filled with plenty of fun and\nexcitement including contests for long drive\, a $5000 Hole in One Contest\, beat the pro\, Golf Canon at a closest to the Pin Contest and our Signature Crazy Putting contest using a pool cue\, hockey stick or whiffle bat. After the tournament concludes\, players are invited to a complimentary awards lunch featuring some amazing silent auction prizes and awards for the top golfers. We would love to fill up as many foursomes as possible so we hope you will join us for a great day! \nPlease also consider becoming a tournament sponsor as your support helps raise funds to provide access to NO COST non-narcotic treatments for our Veterans and their families. \nYour registration includes 18 holes of golf with cart\, range balls\, a goody bag\, awards lunch\, color guard\, music and more!
