The Boulder Chamber and the City of Boulder also light the star on Veterans Day\, November 11\, as a special tribute to those who serve or have served in the military and pay our respects for their role in upholding our freedoms.\n\n\nWe invite all community members to join us for the viewing of the Boulder Star lighting ceremony through the only simulcast beginning at 6:00 p.m. through the following link: https://bit.ly/3ABYvU1. The precise lighting time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.\n\n\nAs a reminder\, we ask everyone to enjoy the Boulder Star from a distance. Access to the area around the star on Flagstaff Mountain is restricted to protect the environment and nearby wildlife habitats. For the second straight year\, the event will feature an appearance by Coach Prime\, as he embarks on his second season as head coach of the Buffaloes. \nThe Kickoff Luncheon will be held in the Indoor Practice Facility\, located on the University of Colorado Boulder campus\, and will include a program featuring Coach Prime\, Athletic Director Rick George\, Boulder Chamber President/CEO John Tayer\, Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur\, and Defensive Coordinator Rob Livingston. Chip\, the CU Spirit Squad\, and the CU Golden Buffaloes marching band will also be on hand to get everyone excited about the upcoming season. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program starts at 1 p.m.
