DESCRIPTION:Boulder Chamber and City of Boulder Light the Boulder Star \nto Honor Our Veterans and Welcome the Holiday Season\n\nThe Boulder Star\, first illuminated in December 1947\, has symbolized Boulder’s holiday spirit and community values for 77 years. Each year\, the star’s lighting is an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to pause and celebrate the season’s themes of warmth\, generosity\, and togetherness. The Boulder Chamber and the City of Boulder also light the star on Veterans Day\, November 11\, as a special tribute to those who serve or have served in the military and pay our respects for their role in upholding our freedoms.\n\n\nWe invite all community members to join us for the viewing of the Boulder Star lighting ceremony through the only simulcast beginning at 6:00 p.m. through the following link: https://bit.ly/3ABYvU1. The precise lighting time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.\n\n\nAs a reminder\, we ask everyone to enjoy the Boulder Star from a distance. Access to the area around the star on Flagstaff Mountain is restricted to protect the environment and nearby wildlife habitats. Several nearby open spaces offer beautiful views of the star without impacting the sensitive landscape.
